Valorie ran as fast as she could toward the Library, hoping to find Amy. She had to make sure that Amy didn't tell. Amy couldn't tell. If Amy told, Valorie would be in BIG trouble. How could Valorie have told? It was the only secret she was forced to keep, and she'd blown it. How could she have told Amy about her father's plans? How could she have blabbed. Now, Val had to minimize the damage. There was no way she could let Amy tell. After all, they were best friends.
Val tiptoed into the Library, looking around for Amy's usual table, hoping against hope she would be there. Coming around the corner of the bookcases, Valorie saw her friend. "Amy," she said as loud as she could without attracting the wrath of the crazy librarian. "We really need to talk. About last night. What I told you." Val flopped down into the seat next to Amy, moving some of Amy's books out of the way.

Amy was still trying to process what Val had told her the night before. In order to get the thoughts out of her head she attempted to study for her Herbology lesson, since it was her worst subject anyway. Just as she had pushed the conflicting thoughts out of her head for a moment, Val came bursting into her sanctuary. "We really need to talk. About last night. What I told you." Val whispered urgently as she plopped down next to Amy. Amy sighed and ran her fingers through her messy hair. "I haven't told anyone." She said quietly, "Yet."

"That's the thing," Val told her friend. "You can't. Ever. I'd be so dead.". Val looked at Amy with a you-have-to-know-how-serious-i-am kind of look. This was serious business, after all. She knew what crazy people did to people who got in the way. And her father is certainly someone she would classify as crazy. She would be as good as dead if he knew she'd told. Not to mention her mother's look of shame and her brother's I told you so. This was serious.

Amy shook her head, her loose hair flopping into her eyes. Brushing it away she sighed, "I can't just keep this a secret! This is something that could affect the lives of millions of people." Amy looked into her friend's eyes, "I know the risk but someone's gonna have to know eventually, I'd rather die than to know that people died because I didn't do something." She frowned, knowing what a big deal this was to her friend. "I'm not going to tell right now though, not until I figure out how to do it without getting both of us in trouble with your family."

Val gave her friend an angry look. "There is no way you can tell without us both getting in trouble!" Val exploded, forgetting she was in a library. "No matter what you do, I'm in HUGE trouble. How could you just tell? The one secret you can't tell!" Val put her head in her hands, tears welling up in her eyes. So what she wasn't in trouble now. It was only a matter of time before she was as dead as the Bloody Baron. Maybe even more thoroughly dead. This was a nightmare. How could she have been so stupid? "Amy," Val said more quietly to her friend, "please. You can't tell. You can't ever tell. You can't."

Amy's eyes narrowed as she looked at her friend. "Can you live with the lives of thousands of innocent people on your hands Valorie?" She took a hankercheif out of her vest pocket and handed it to her friend to dry her eyes. "I can't, so if there is ever a way to let this out without getting us in trouble, I will tell. Otherwise, I will keep your secret." Amy's gut ached from the thought of having to keep it a secret forever and having someone's blood on her hands. She groaned, holding her stomach. "I think all this stress is making me sick Val."

Val gasped and threw her arms around Amy. "Oh, Amy!" she whispered dramatically. "My poor, poor Amy. How could I have done this to you?" She wiped her eyes and nose on Amy's handkerchief and continued to cry, sniffling every now and again. Slowly, Valorie turned toward the table, letting go of Amy's neck. Avoiding her friend's eye, Val began shifting Amy's papers around, organizing them by random classifications such as length and subject.

Amy groaned again as her friend threw her arms around her neck. Hoping she hadn't made a horrible mistake, she tried to give Valorie a small smile of reassurance. She immediately knew something was still bothering Val as she started organizing her study materials. She reached over and took the papers from Val's grasp. "What are you doing? You know if you organize these I'll never be able to find anything." Amy gave her friend a tell-me-what's-going-on look as she shuffled her papers back into organized chaos.

Valorie gave Amy one of her looks of reluctant desire to talk about something. Slowly, Val looked around and surveyed the library to ensure that no one unpleasant was around. Slowly, Val leaned in close to Amy the way she did when she had a huge secret to tell. "Well," Val whispered quietly, "I overheard some Hufflepuffs talking about our dear friend Annie Longbottom." Val smiled a vicious smile as she thought of the rumor she heard. The sparkle in her eye was evident as she sat back and waited for her friend to press her further.

As much as Amy hated rumors and nasty secrets, Valorie loved them. Amy knew she would have to listen to whatever juicy rumor Val had locked up her her vault of knowledge of all things bad about people. She sighed, pretending to not be interested. "I don't know, does she have eleven toes?" She asked, partly sarcastic.

Val gave Amy a sour look. "Of course not. That is ridiculous." She looked around again and leaned in close to whisper again. "They were saying that they saw Annie with Trevor Mill from Ravenclaw. You know, the gross one?" Val looked at Amy with a particularly aggressive grin on her face. This was the most juicy piece of gossip she'd received in quite some time. "That's not the best part, though," Valorie whispered to Amy. "I heard that they were snogging. And they say that Trevor Mill doesn't ever bathe. How could anyone snog someone that gross?"

Amy leaned in close to her friend. "Maybe she has no sense of smell." She said in a serious tone. Amy knew Trevor and Annie were just friends, at least, she thought they were. She knew for a fact that Trevor did bathe, every morning. There just happened to be a couple Slytherin 6th years who found it fun to curse him at breakfast each morning with a horrible case of B.O. "Or maybe Trevor took a bath and she couldn't resist his charm." She grinned at her friend, loving this game they always played when Val wanted to spread rumors.

"That's even better than eleven toes!" Valorie exclaimed! "I can't wait to tell all my friends that Annie Longbottom has no sense of smell. That's brilliant! You're brilliant, Amy." Val was forgetting to watch her volume in the library as she often did when she found Amy there to catch up on gossip. She was nearly shrieking by the end of her sentence. Immediately, she looked around to make certain that the librarian wasn't coming after her. Then, she lowered her voice to talk to Amy again. "Seriously, though. I've seen that loser in double herbology. He is so socially inept. I don't think I could ever describe him as anything even close to charming."

(ooc: Ravenclaw lol)
Amy rolled her eyes at her friend's outburst, sometimes wishing she didn't know Val at times like these. "I was joking Val." She grinned, playing along. "But maybe he has some secret charm you don't know about." Trying not to giggle she imagined Trevor and Val flirting, "Who knows? Maybe you two could be an item if you showed him how to use something other than muggle soap." She grinned evilly at her friend, plotting ways to get back at her a little for spreading rumors about Annie.

"Do you mean," Val asked, getting even more excited, "to suggest that Trevor is using a love potion?" Valorie clapped her hands over her mouth in an over-dramatic gesture at her friend's suggestion. Then the rest of what Amy had said sunk in, and Val began to feel a small amount of bile rising in her throat. Her? Charmed by that disgusting Ravenclaw? Never. She was just about to tell Amy this when she heard a crash coming from a few shelves over. Valorie jumped about a mile in the air and ran over to investigate, assuming that Amy would follow.
(ooc: We are quickly running out of this to write, so I figured I'd cause some commotion and get someone else in here.)
