Okay, so, I'm ripping this straight from a MNI rp I'm in, for lack of creativity. " Masquerade! Paper faces on parade, Masquerade! Hide your face, so the world will never find you...
A notice left in the common room of each house, from Dumbledore himself:
I have noticed a lack of energy and an excess of head-butting coming from you students, and I have decided to do something about that. I have arranged for a dance, against my better judgement, of course, but why not? It gives us something to do before we go on holiday. I expect you all to attend, whether you wish to or not. And there will be no shenanigans.
Which brings us to the rules. -Each student must have a mask, which will hide your face for the entire night. No exceptions. You will be given a plain mask at the door if you do not have one. Students will not be able to remove their masks, so house rivalries may not commence. -This is more of a ball, rather than an informal dance, so please dress nicely. -You will not know who anyone is, and you can't tell anyone. It makes the night much more entertaining. -No firewhiskey, please. We will find it, and you will be punished. No exceptions. -Have fun! It's a dance, so, if you can, and if you can't, just dance.
This masquerade will occur on the last Saturday before Christmas holiday. This will be your last chance to see each other before the holidays, for the train leaves Sunday morning. Start getting ready!
A new type of energy swept over the entire school after these notices were distributed. Girls started changing their hair and finding dresses. Boys started figuring out the coolest pose for sitting out on the sidelines.Just so you know, the charm works like this: When they walk through the doors, it adheres the mask in place and makes the other people unrecognizable. Even if they knew what their friends were wearing, they would only have a slight deja vu (very similar to Men in Black)." Character: House: Year: Appearance: (pic, if you can) Dress/Outfit and Mask: (pics, if you can) Small Bio: Anything Else:Accepted Canons:
Character: Sirius Black House: Gryffindor Year: 7th Appearance: Sirius Dress/Outfit and Mask: Dress robes and mask Small Bio: Sirius has always had it easy when it came to girls. They flocked to him. However, he is sick of the shallow, empty shells that they are. Just for once, he wants to meet a girl with some substance (besides Lily, as she has obviously been claimed by his best mate), not ones who only like him because he's popular and good-looking. He sees the masquerade as a chance for people to see his, Merlin forbid, personality, and like him for that instead of looks. Played by: Kara (illogicalillusions)
Character: James Potter House: Gryffindor Year: 7th Appearance: James Dress/Outfit and Mask: Suit Yeah, I just went there. PWN. And mask is just red. Small Bio: You know those kids at school that seem to have everything? Looks, brains, money, talent, popularity... that's James. He's got pretty much everything he wanted in life, including the limelight. At least, that's what's on the surface level. If you look deeper, he's actually beginning to feel that this infatuation with Lily Evans will never end, that his mother's death still overcomes him, and that he can feel himself developing in a way he never thought he would- he can sense that he's growing up. He's always been open about his emotions, however, and does not look at tonight as a way of escaping himself, or even as a plan to get Lily to go out with him. This is more of a night to have fun, mess with people, and figure out a way to get those ten cases of Firewhiskey into the ball. Anything Else: James can pull off the white suit. Just sayin'. Played by: Dayton (antlers)
Character: Lily Evans House: Gryffindor Year: 7th Appearance: Lily Evans Dress/Outfit and Mask: Dress The mask is the matching purple. Small Bio: Lily Evans seemed to be born with the curse of always being stressed. Since she was a little girl she was stressing about her family and their financial situation. When school started, she stressed about helping others, getting perfect grades, being a good person. This curse made her overthink so many things in her life, making her miss out on opportunities. Sometimes Lily simply wants to take a break and get away from the constant watchful eyes of others. Don't take from this that Lily Evans is a weak nerd. No. Lily is sweet( though her unruly temper did slip up) and morally brave. When something is happening in front of her she will stop it. A habit of getting her way developed rather early in her life. Maybe this Ball will give her a chance to simply stop stressing. She also couldn't afford to by a dress or mask so her father mailed Lily's dead mother's old dress and a mask. She doesn't like the idea of wearing it. Anything Else?: She is very confused at this point about her feelings towards James Potter. Played by: Chelsea (moony)
Character: Severus Snape House: Slytherin Year: 7th Appearance: You really want me to show you what he looks like? Ok, a younger version of this: Severus Dress/Outfit and Mask: He's wearing nice khakis and a nice striped polo. Definitely under dressed... He forgot a mask, so he is wearing a plain one he got at the door. Small Bio: Snape grew up as a little bit of a loser. He was never very well liked, and he always tended to be overlooked. He only time he ever felt like he was worth anything was when he was doing magic. The ball makes him really nervous because Snape has always had a very awkward personality, and doesn't associate well on the spot. Played by: Kileen (Cassandra Blackwing)
Accepted Originals:
Character: Anna Watson House: Gryffindor Year: 7th Appearance: Anna normally Anna for the Ball Dress/Outfit and Mask: Dress The mask is just a baby blue. Small Bio: Being overshadowed was something that Anna was used to. And for the most part, she didn't care too much. She didn't mind that others didn't praise her on her Quidditch skill like they did James. She didn't mind that other girls made her look ugly. In fact, Watts enjoys it. This is due to the fact that Anna is slightly lazy when her image came into play. This meant that she didn't have to please others. This Tomboy's 'I don't care' attitude made her on the unspoken 'undateable' list. Too bad she has had a crush on her best friend, Sirius Black for years. He just so happens to be supermegafoxyawesomehot. Anna believes that this is her chance to show her 'girly' and 'gentle' side. She just has to find it first. Played by: Chelsea (moony)
Character: Tristiana Roberts House: Hufflepuff Year: 6th Appearance: Tristiana Dress/Outfit and Mask: Dress I'm not sure what her mask looks like yet, but when I do, I'll let you know. Small Bio: Tristiana grew up in a large family. She was stuck right in the middle, and struggled to have her voice heard most of her life. However, when she got to Hogwarts, her personality blossomed, and her inner extrovert was able to shine through. Anything Else: Tristiana only has one sister who is barely 6, so she feels much more comfortable around boys. Played by: Kileen (Cassandra Blackwing)

(ooc: I'm also ripping this post from the first rp, with some slight changes at the end. I mean, why write out another long intro for the same plot when I've already got one handy?)
"Prongs, Evan's isn't going to care how wind-blown your hair looks. She won't even know it's you under the mask. ...Actually, comb down your hair. If it is wind-blown, she'll KNOW it's you," Sirius told James through the bathroom door. "Now get out of the bloody loo so we can go!"
The restless teenager had been waiting on his friend for a while now. It wasn't like they were going to be late or anything - and it maybe it'd be better if they were (fashionably late, grand entrance, all that) - but Sirius really wanted to get to the food before all the good treats were gone. He'd heard there was going to be chocolate gateau. Just imagining the heavenly desert presented on a pedestal-like plate became too much for him. Sirius lusted for cake. "James, I'm going without you."
While stepping out of the dorm and then common room, he pulled the gold mask from his dress robes and slipped it carefully onto his face, the magic making it adhere without a strap. Sirius caught a reflection of himself in a window and was stunned by his appearance. He didn't know if it was because of the added magic, but with his face covered, he really was unrecognizable. The hair cut probably helped. His usual shoulder-length hair would have been very familiar to everyone, so the Marauders had pinned him down earlier that day and chopped it all off with the promise of a Regrowth potion for Christmas. Sirius studied his reflection and decided the hair cut wasn't that bad, though. Reaching his ears, it was still long enough for him to seductively run his hands through in case he wanted to make the girls swoon.
As soon as his feet touched the main floor, his grey eyes drew towards the open doors of the Great Hall. Shimmering silver seemed to dust the world inside, while music floated out to entice him. He glanced back up the stairs. To wait or not to wait? Looking back into the room, Sirius spotted the ornate food table. And the long awaited chocolate gateau. ...Not wait.
He decidedly stepped into the magnificent hall and the atmosphere nearly overwhelmed him immediately. Newly acquainted couples spun past him, the girls' floor length dresses giving them the appearance of floating across the wooden dance floor. Everything in the room was colorful, exquisite, glittering, ..and not at all masculine. But he was okay with that; balls were primarily for the girls anyhow.
Sirius found himself an empty table, gateau in hand. He wanted to hold off on the dancing and mingling until the other Marauders arrived. Whether or not he'd actually be able to recognize his mates or not, he didn't know. Rumor was Dumbledore had cast some spell preventing everyone from knowing who anyone else was, despite all their planning ahead. The Marauders' best bet to finding each other would be by introducing themselves by their nick names. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs were significant, but only to the four of them. No one else would recognize the names.
(ooc: Che, Day, hold off on claiming more than one character for now. Let's see if anyone *coughHEATHERcoughKILEENcough* wants to join. ...*cough* Seriously peeps, you said you wanted to RP forever go but you haven't yet. >_<)

{ooc: Bio changed.....again. And pics. haha. Um.....sorry for the bad posts but I just wanted to actually post. They will be better next time.}
The rough and unsure hands raked through the blond strands of unfamiliar hair. The regrowth potion had worked better than she had hoped and now the tomboy was stuck with the luscious hair that went a few inches past her shoulders. Though she was the one that wanted to grow her hair out, she still had to wrestle the urge to chop it all off. Anna Watson was used to her short and spunky hairstyle Ever since she was 13, Anna had, in her mind, the perfect hair cut. It had been a shock to the student body at the return of her 3rd year. The girl once had long silky locks that reach to her mid back but she, in a rage, cut it all off.
One last glance in the mirror.
It looked almost too perfect for she could hardly recognize herself. But, however wondrous the sight of the temporary Watts may have been, she tore herself away from the strangers refection and left the common room.
On the way down the stairs, girls were gliding down the steps with almost abnormal ease. This made Anna feel like she was sticking out of the crowed. The heels that she had on made her continuously roll her ankles. The whole way down she had to keep her hand on the rail. Her nerves just couldn't seem to settle.
Anna reached the Great Hall(to her great pleasure) and began walking slowly through the doors, the aroma of the food hit her at once. Meandering towards the food table, she reminded herself of her little character. She needed to be lady like. She couldn't just eat like a man like she would on normal days. She decided that once you can out eat a Sirius Black, you had a problem.
Just Jello, Watson, keep it to Jello.
It just didn't feel right on her body. This had once belonged to her mother who wore it at Lily's age. And she was dead. Though Lily had told herself that it had been a year and she should have gotten used to it by now. There was nothing that she could do to get her mother back. But that didn't mean that it was okay to wear her mothers dress. Lily looked in the mirror and all she could see was a daughter stealing her mothers dress.
But she didn't see what was really looking back at her. She couldn't seem to notice the beautiful long red curls that fell down her back, though she took a while getting every curl perfect. She didn't notice that she looked like a woman instead of a young lady. And she didn't process that the fact that she looked different was a good thing.
She had gone shopping for dresses with her friends, and every girl was looking for huge dresses. Ball Gowns. But Lily just looked classic in a simple flowing purple dress. She stood out. But, of course, Lily couldn't recognize that fact.
While walking though the large doors of the Great Hall she was tickled with surprise. It had looked utterly breath taking. Almost like from one of the novels that she so greatly loved. Girls spinning across the dance floor with their Gowns. Men actually in Dress Robes or suits. Music filling the room. It was as if the room has painted with magic. The night had hope to be fun.
She made her way to the back of the dance floor, not wanting to take up a table when others who were actually hungry would want to eat. It had been one of the least crowded places in the room. Lily wasn't trying to be antisocial, she just didn't know how to act in the situation. The concept was very uncomfortable. She had no idea who anyone was and nor did anybody else. Everyone would just have to go out and talk to the masked. There was a very large chance that someone would hit it off with someone they previously hated. Lily smiled. Anything was possible and fate was put into the students hand again, for one night. It was the perfect time for second chances. People wouldn't be judged based on what clique they belonged to or by the way the look. Everything had to be based on the way a person really was.
And Lily wanted a shot at it. Too bad she still couldn't bring herself to do anything. She was just going to wait until someone came up to her.
No, very bad idea Lily. Just be proactive!
Lily walked around the room for a while looking for others who were alone. It had seemed like a lot of people were already dancing with others or at least speaking to someone else. Lily passed the tables, seeing people eating the treats and attempting to talk at the same time. But one boy sat at a table alone, his mask covering his entire face.
Just do it Lily. It's not like he even knows who you are.
"Hello, may I join you?" Her voice was sweet and confident but inside, Lily was hoping that he didn't just tell her to shove off or something. That would just be Lily's luck though.

"Prongs, Evan's isn't going to care how wind-blown your hair looks. She won't even know it's you under the mask. ...Actually, comb down your hair. If it is wind-blown, she'll KNOW it's you. Now get out of the bloody loo so we can go!"
"I don't care if Lily-" he started to say, but stopped short when he realized what a useless effort it was. Truth be told, he was ruffling his hair in the mirror, but Sirius didn't need to know that. He stepped back, surveying himself. The fabric felt strangely restricting, tapered to his form, a sharp contrast to the loose robes that he usually wore. The tie was actually fastened properly, though not very tightly as if it too desired to just hang around his neck. James rather thought that he looked like an albino penguin, but Dorcas Meadowes had assured him that the tux was definitely "swoon-worthy".
He tossed his glasses on the bathroom counter just as Sirius said something from behind the door. James ignored it, but he heard the door open and close a second later. Scoffing to his reflection, James picked up the red blur next to sink, his vision clearing as soon as the mask clasped on his face.
The man in the white suit and red mask stared back at him, and leaned on the counter. "Alright," he half-whispered. "She won't be-" He stopped abruptly, realizing that talking about her to himself was only making this night about her, and it wasn't. Tonight was for the part of him that didn't recognize her, that had fun and broke rules without worrying if she'd find out. What did he care if Lily fell in love tonight with some masked bloke? Why should he give two seconds thought to Lily Evans when she wasn't doing the same about him? If she could pretend that there was nothing between them- because that was what she was doing, pretending- then so could he.
Besides, someone had to get that Firewhiskey into the Great Hall.
James grabbed the long red stick leaning against the door, hearing Sirius chanting "Pimp stick, pimp stick!" in his head. Grinning at the thought, he left the bathroom
The dorm was empty, but James grabbed apparently the thin air above the bed, tying something invisible around the pimp stick. Easy enough, he figured, since the Invisibility Cloak was practically undetectable.
He expected Sirius to be waiting in the Entrance Hall, but he only found a group of giggling fifth year girls, who all thought that the bloke dressed in all white with a pimp stick over his shoulder to be very groovy. James winked at them, the effect handicapped by the mask, but three of them blushed none the less. They probably still recognized him as James Potter with his hair, and he himself was just remembering what one of their names was when he entered the Great Hall.
It was as if he had entered another world, one that was completely separate, both in design and memory, than the one he had just left. Whatever had happened outside the Hall seemed rather irrelevant, not to mention out of reach. The room was glittering, and James realized that the ceiling had been charmed to have an endless supply of stars weightlessly descend.
But James knew better than to just stand there by the Entrance- not only did it draw attention, but he was surely going to be bumped into, a circumstance he wanted to avoid when he had invisible Firewhiskey slung over his shoulder. He made for the food table, knocking into some bird in a slim purple dress. He mumbled an apology, walking until he was at the very end with the drinks.
The good thing about this ball was that no one suspected him; here he was just like any student, presumed to have no record of pulling pranks or importing alcohol. So hardly anyone bothered to look when he knelt down to tie his shoe, untying the Invisibility Cloak from the pimp stick as he did so. He checked under the table, seeing the crates of butterbeer and punch to replenish the bowls on the table. And, quite smoothly if he did say so himself, he stood, sliding the invisible crate next in line before pulling the Cloak free. Knowing he only had seconds before somebody was bound to notice the dashing bloke behind the table, James dropped his stick, leaning down yet again with an exasperated face as he nudged the Cloak right under the very last crate, one that was bound not to be used if his kept refilling like it should.
He rose, the only sign that anything was amiss was the slight ruffle of the tablecloth. Even as James pretended to check the pimp cane for scratches, a house elf scurried over to fill an empty bowl. Trusting it would work, James quickly exited the scene, looking for someone to talk to, someone innocent looking...
There was a blonde girl in a blue dress, she would fit. He started towards her, but James was suddenly struck by what a disadvantage he was at. He couldn't rely on his reputation to carry him through, nor good looks. He would have to do this as if he wasn't James Potter, Quidditch Captain, Head Boy, Golden Boy.
A challenge it was.
"Are you in the habit of covering your face?" he asked as neutrally as possible. If nothing else, he'd be memorable. He didn't need his name to be so.

Anna's left eyebrow raised slightly at the sight of the masked figure. White suit? Really? She had thought that only pimps or wankers wore white suits. But then she noticed the pimp stick. Oh so he is a pimp want to be. On normal occasions, Anna wouldn't have spoken to the guy. This urge to walk away did, however cease when he opened his mouth. He was a smart arse. Something that dear Watts could relate to. She was one of the more sharp tongued females that she knew. (well, other than Lily Evans who had her witty moments.)
Anna opened her mouth, feeling the weight of her shimmering pink lip gloss. Oh yeah....she thought. I am a young lady. That means I have to be cute and flirty when a guy speaks to me. This reminder to herself, however, was not enough to keep Anna's tom boyish spunk closed up.
"And cover this lovely face? You on the other hand..." the world famous mischievous crooked grin fell onto her lips. The face had been used often in her life, everytime that a person would see the look, knew that Anna Watson was laughing evilly on the inside. But while she felt her lips rise into the smile, Anna slapped he hand over her mouth.
Well that was ANYTHING but lady like. Darn it.
"I mean...sorry. That was rude."
Anna was not sorry. Not in anyway. And it was painted all on her face. (The parts that were not covered anyways.) She looked up to the masked boy that she was talking to and felt an odd tingle in her stomach. She could have sworn that she knew who this guy was. His horribly messy hair and warm hazel eyes just felt normal. She didn't feel all too awkward around him. Maybe that was why she had let her guard down so easily.

Alright, good. This wasn't some flirty bimbo, at least, on first impression. That'd make holding a conversation much easier, or harder, depending on the broad. He could barely recall some girl who wasn't a flirt at all, and he knew that he had had horrible clash with her, but over what and with exactly who he couldn't say. It seemed rather stupid to think about a girl he couldn't remember when an actual live one was right in front of him, so he cast the wisp of a memory aside.
"Oh, me? You don't know me or what I look like," James challenged, feeling the weight of his lie even though he couldn't remember her at all. Just a vague feeling of recognition... "For all you know I could be tall, dark, and handsome. Actually... Why don't you just take my word for it?"
He smirked, his mouth only widening at her apology. James didn't need to see her whole face to know that she was lying. He had an inkling that he knew this face very well, but he brain couldn't process the puzzle. So the rumors were true, there was some sort of charm on the Hall. He knew all the people in here, but it didn't do him any good if he could recall their voices or sense of humor. But he didn't think that the latter would be an issue with the girl in front of him- he could already tell that he liked her.
"No, you're not. Either find a bigger mask or learn how to lie," he advised jokingly, eying the Jello on the table. How people would ever fill up on that alone, James would never get, but he didn't care to try- it didn't look as if Jello was the house elves specialty.

Her eyes couldn't help but look the stranger up and down, noticing that, for the most part, he was right. For a British bloke, he a nice inkling of a tan. And there was no doubt in Anna's mind that he was tall. But almost everyone was taller than her very short self. The bloke towered over Anna, grinning with an air about him that resembled conceitedness.
Handsome was another matter all together. The beaming, boyish charm that her masked guest so obviously possessed pointed to attractiveness. However, despite that, the boy was masked, thus Anna had no way of really knowing that he was handsome.
"You are tall and dark but that is merely compared to me. But anyone could claim to be handsome with a mask on. You could look like a Kracken from the sea, mystery boy."
Anna rolled her eyes at the boy and sighed. She was really good at lying but only when she wanted to. The girl knew in her heart of hearts that she didn't want to be this perfect little girl. She was a fiesty tempermental fireball. Watts knew that her little act wouldn't last all night but she had to try. Well, only a little. she was just going to try not to act like a total guy.
"What should I call you anyways? I know we can't say our real names but it would be nice to call you something. Unless you want me to make a name for you." Anna laughed playfully, "And I don't suggest that you let me think of one."

The Kracken? Now that was something James hadn't heard in a while. He dimly remembered studying the myth in his home library, but the memory itself was too boring to actively muse. James smirked despite himself, noticing out of the corner of his eye the house elf scurrying away from the drinks. Excellent.
"You should learn to trust strangers," James said. "From what I can tell, they make great company." He winked, the effect again diminished by the mask. Bloody pain. Why couldn't Dumbledore just charm the Hall so they couldn't recognize each other's faces anyway? The mask was ruining his charm. Though he did suppose there weren't any glasses in the way, but he liked to think that they helped pull off the overall charisma.
Or at least that was what he told himself.
"Prongs," James answered instinctively. He recalled that he was supposed to meet someone here by using that name, but he had a feeling that it was another bloke. "Does that mean anything to you? If not, we could come up with a more accurate name. Like Debonair or Débonnaire, if you're into French."

By this time, Sirius had finished off his third plate of cake and now had his feet propped on the chair next to him. He took them off, though, when a pretty redhead in purple approached his table. He knew he was supposed to wait for some people, but his idea of exactly who was diminishing as time progressed. For all he knew, maybe he was waiting for her.
"Go ahead -- sit," he said neighborly, and offered her a chair.
Sirius gave her a quick once over. Long, curly red locks. A shining white smile. A simple yet elegant purple gown. A sweet, femine voice. And familiar green eyes hiding behind a mask that -- if they'd been brown -- made him think of an apprehensive doe. He wondered vaguely what new aberration she had to offer.

Severus stepped tentatively out of the dormitory. He knew he was under dressed. He knew that everyone would be aware of his poor appearance, but he didn't really care. He could do nothing about it. He simply couldn't afford to wear anything nicer. He walked slowly down to the Great Hall. Perhaps this would be a wonderful evening. No one calling him Snivelous. None of that crap from Potter and his friends. Perhaps Severus could meet a nice young lady and spend even just one evening in happiness. Perhaps he might meet up with Lily Evens. She hadn't been speaking with him for some time, and he missed her. As Severus reached the Great Hall, he was approached by a house elf.
"You seem to have forgotten your mask, sir," the elf said, handing the boy a plain white mask.
Great, one more thing about me that doesn't quite reach the standard....
With his plain mask secured in place, Severus entered the Great Hall. There was something very different about the large room. Something that wasn't quite what he remembered it to be. Slowly, he began to work his way around the room, hearing bits of overly flirtatious conversations. The naturally shy disposition of the boy caused him to refrain from entering into any of them. He could not even bring himself to talk to others who were not engaged in conversation. Finally, Severus decided to content himself with standing awkwardly at the back of the dance floor near the refreshment tables, sipping a cup of delicious punch.
Tristiana sighed loudly as she looked at herself in the mirror. The face looking back at her almost took her breath away. She wasn't really certain why she spent so long on her make-up. It would just be covered by her mask, anyway. She looked down on the table to where her mask sat, sparkling silver with the delicate design of a rose over the right eye. Slowly, she lifted it to her face where it fastened over her features. Looking again, she had to remember how to breathe. She could not remember ever thinking that she was beautiful, but her she sat, looking at a beautiful stranger. Her hair was tied back in an ornate knot, a few stray curls escaping from almost nowhere. Her bright blue eyes shone from the holes in her mask, made even brighter by the matching blue of her dress. She had dyed her hair a darker, almost chocolate brown for the occasion.
Slowly, Tristiana turned out of the bathroom and walked out of her dormitory. She was all butterflies. The anonymity of the ball frightened her, although she knew it shouldn't. She was a bubbly, sociable person. She had a wonderful personality that could really shine through if she would let it. And she had never looked this wonderful in her life. However, there was something inside her that was holding back her confidence as she made her way to the Great Hall. When she entered, the room was almost as breath-taking as her reflection had been. There were couples swirling and twirling with seemingly infinite grace. It felt like she was in a dream.
Looking around, Tristiana couldn't find anyone standing on their own. It seemed as though she was the only one who was late enough that she was alone. She decided that she didn't have to be one of a pair, but rather that one of three would fit her needs just fine. She was walking through the tables with a cup of punch and a small amount of chocolate covered strawberries when she saw a table occupied by a red-headed girl wearing a simple purple dress and a boy in nice dress robes.
"Excuse me, may I sit here?" she asked pleasantly, and sat down without waiting for an answer.

Prongs? The name reminded Anna of some sort of poorly written character in a terribly written fantasy novel. Or a male stripper stage name. But no matter how supercilious the word fell on her ears, it sent a wave of assurance through her chest. It was odd. And though she would want to uncover the secret to the name of Prongs, she also didn't want to just stand there lost in her useless thoughts.
" Prongs? Sounds good to me since those other two don't fit." Anna smiled at him, though she felt overly out of place. The façade that she had so far, in her opinion, kept up was getting rather old. Even wearing the dress seemed so restricting. At least she hadn't danced yet. That would be where she would draw the line. She had a feeling this bloke would understand, and if not, she wouldn't bother talking to him anyways.
"Okay, you seem like a nice guy but I wanna set some things straight if I continue to speak to you throughout this Ball-dance-thingy." She paused for a moment, inhaling deeply. "I want to have some fun. Not that mindlessly flirting isn't fun. But I want to create mischief. So, either you join me or I am going to walk away now."
Lily didn't want to seem like she was intruding. It seemed like the girl knew the boy. Why else would she just sit there without really asking? Lily got back up from her seat and nodded in gratitude for their company.
"Sorry. I will let you two be alone."
[ooc: sorry for lily's two line. haha. I had no idea how to reply to that.]
