The morning hung in the air as I quickly got dressed in the dark. It was a nice calm morning and I liked the silence; the well known silence that always haunted me like a dream that never went away. It didn't matter now anyways. I left the hotel room, getting glances as I walked down into the lobby...no not glances, I was being stared at. I was used to it. These poor humans always looked at me in envy for some strange reason. It is scary that people wish that they either looked like this or had someone that looked like this. It is a curse.
I opened the car door swiftly and slid into the drivers seat. It started like a dream like usual. It always does. I drove in silence, which is unusual for me. I normally would be blasting music so loud that it makes the whole car tremble.
Then it came in sight. Forks High School...my way out of the comfortable silence. My brother will be mine again soon enough. I was early.
They normally don't get here for another ten minutes! I thought to myself. So I sat in my last few moments in silence.

Alice waited patiently by the car, ready to head to school. Jasper stood by her, fidgeting a little, which was weird for Jasper. She vaguely wondered what was wrong. If they were planning something, Alice would know about it. That's what was great about being her, she knew things. Edward had better hurry up or else. Alice thought maliciously to herself, hoping Edward would catch it. That was when it happened. Slowly at first, then more suddenly, she felt herself slip.
Forks High School was milling, or as close to milling as it ever got, with students as they pulled into the parking lot. It was today, Alice was wearing what she was wearing now, and Jasper was still fidgety. They pulled into their parking space, and a girl appeared suddenly by Edwards door. Everyone jumped a little. She was like them. Alice began falling backward into realitly, a little out of breath, but not enough that she was breathing hard. Jasper sensed the change in mood, as Alice returned from her vision.
Jasper tried hard to make the mood seem more calm, like he always did when Alice had a vision, but his oddly fidgety mood made him unable. He wished he could have changed his own mood and made himself calmer, but he had tried that before and it never worked. Instead, he asked in a calm voice, "What was it?" Alice explained in great detail the oddity she'd seen annoyed that even a vision didn't hurry Edward to the car. Lazy half-wit. Alice thought at Edward.

The human fell to the floor, their body drained of any blood. "Are you ready now?" Elizabeth asked him, her hand placed on her hip. After licking his lips repeatedly for any excess blood, Dherik nodded. "Yeah. I'm ready for my first day of school. Do you think they'll insist I go back to elementary school?" He laughed, turning away from the lifeless body. "I doubt it," Vincent said, entering Dherik's hotel room with missmatched clothing. "Where is Gabrielle?" Elizabeth cried in clear annoyance. Dherik declined to answer, letting Vincent explain his mate's lateness. He picked up the dead body and put it in a black trash bag, leaving it in the corner for the maid to find. That was the beauty of so many fake names to choose from. He could almost see the scene playing out : police asking the concierge who was in that room, and the only name that pulls up is "William Rose." Gabrielle came in the room, with an outfit she had clearly labored over. "Are you done with your fast food?" Dherik had a bit of a habit of feeding incredibley quickly, and Gabrielle often joked about it. "With ketchup," Dherik remarked, chuckling. "Enough," Elizabeth said impatiently. "Let's leave!" Dherik nodded and was the second out the door, as always. They checked out rather quickly, and deposited their suitcases in the car. Elizabeth closed the car door behind her, and turned back to them. "I'm going to the hotel at Forks. Go to school." "Yes, Mom," Gabrielle replied. Elizabeth stared daggers at her. "Dherik's in charge until you get home." Dherik smirked in a clearly self-satisfied way as he jumped on the silver motorcycle. Gabrielle and Vincent preferred to both ride on the same electric blue one, but Dherik didn't wait for them to be ready. Dherik zoomed off without a word, definietly breaking the speed limit.

The Parking Lot was still silent for the most part...almost empty. The two 'siblings' of my dear long lost brother stood by their car. Alice and Jasper I believe there names were. It was interesting to watch them. The girl, Alice, seemed all hot and bothered. I wonder why...I do remember that she had visions of the future. I always thought that it was interesting that we vampires had these special abilities. Mine was not so special as others though. I was able to see anyones past. Nothing that amazing.
I was beginning to get bored in my thought so I put in one of my millions of C.D's: Gin Blossoms. Hey Jealousy played in my nice red 1955 Cadillac El Dorado. Time seemed to go ever so slow and I began to fidget. Anything to do. I made my thoughts quiet and non-related to my wanting to see dear Mr. Edward Cullen and his love Bella Swan for the first time face to face.
I looked back to Alice. She seemed calm now, well calm enough. Jasper, her mate, had the ability to manipulate emotions I believe. I wonder if she saw me coming up to Edward or something...I pushed that out of my head and changed the C.D. Relient K seemed good for now. I got out of the car and leaned against it and listened to the music.

Time didn't pass. I was getting annoyed with Edward. He was just like he was when he was human: Late. I reached into my car and turned my music off and made my way toward Alice and Jasper. I needed to speak to someone. " Hello Miss Cullen, Mr. Hale. "

Alice jumped about a yard when the girl spoke. She had not expected her until Edward joined them. Must have changed her mind. Tricky little thing. Alice thought to herself, a little annoyed. Jasper could feel a little anger growing in Alice and tried to soothe her. "Hello miss," he said to the stranger. "I know it's rude, but may I ask how you know us? I haven't seen you at all before."
Alice shot Jasper a look. "She's the one," she hissed quietly. "She wasn't supposed to be here yet. I hate being wrong." Alice shot the girl a look. Not a mean look, just a look that seemed to say How dare you not obey my vision.

(ooc: *crawls in* I'm ALIVE!!!
Wow, those 12 hours at BSU went by fast....and I have time to spare! Woot!)
Edward turned the key in his Volvo, turning off the car. There was no point in wasting gas. Bella was taking unusally long to dress and get ready this morning. He supposed it was his own fault, his presense having kept her awake the whole night. And now she was on the slow side because of lack of sleep. Lack of sleep... he thought. I've gone without sleep for ninty years.
Edward had better hurry up or else.
He grinned, hearing his "sister's" voice in his head. Sorry Alice.
Edward leaned back in the seat, and was debating whether to go hurry Bella or not when Alice's thoughts intruded his again. She was having a vision. He watched as his own car pulled into Forks High School, and a girl about their age, a vampire came up to them.
Edward's grip tightened on the steering wheel as he searched his mind for any unfamiliar, vampiric thoughts. He sensed the one in the school's parking lot, but also felt a few others elsewhere in the town.
Oh god, Edward thought. There was a chance that these vampires could be accomplices of Victoria. And even if they weren't, it was still dangerous. It would be much easier if they could just move through town without bothering the rest of them. Why did one of others have to try and talk with him and his family?
Edward knew one thing. He wouldn't let them anywhere near Bella. Not again.
Quickly, Edward got out of the car and went into the house. Finding a piece of paper, he wrote: Bella- Sorry, but you'll have to drive yourself to school today. In fact, it'd be better if you didn't even come to school today at all. I have to take care of something. Don't do anything rash. -Edward
Edward hurried upstairs, where he could hear Bella still in the bathroom. He placed the note on her backpack where she would find it, and left the house, getting into the Volvo.
(ooc: Uhhhhhhmm...I'll continue.)

I laughed inside myself a little. This was funny...but I really shouldn't tell them just yet should I? The whole Victoria thing is a big deal and I could just seem like an accomplice to the whole killing in Seattle. I should wait to tell the whole story. But what if I don't? That could get me into more trouble...oh well...I've been in bigger trouble. "Lets just say I am a long lost friend of Dear Edwards. I will not cause any harm to the others in your family or Bella's family. I am just here to find Edward again. It has been a long time."

Dherik's good humored mood vanished when Vincent and Gabrielle caught up with him. Sneering, he turned his head away from them, focusing on the road. "Is everyone in 493?" Vincent asked. Both understood him.... It was CODE 493, the code that Gabrielle had made especially for this trip, the one she had taught them only this morning. "Yes," Dherik replied, his thoughts already turning to numbers and ancient ruins. As they approached Forks, both males slowed the bikes down to the unthinkable speed limit, before pulling up in front of the school. Dherik had expected to have to track the Cullens down, to search for them, maybe even wait until later to find their house, so he was slightly surprised when he saw three vampires in the parking lot. He parked the bike with ease, Vincent stopping next to him and getting off. "What do we do?" Gabrielle asked, being assisted off the bike by Vincent, as though she actually needed it. "Don't make contact yet," Dherik ordered. "Let them come to us. We wouldn't want to appear eager, would we?" Yet while Gabrielle's face showed nothing but eagerness, Vincent's calculating, Dherik's face was the definition of apathy. "And if they don't?" Gabrielle asked. "We'll choose an alternative from there," Dherik said. Only Vincent caught the slight menacing tone in his voice.

Alice gave the girl an amost stern look, wishing it was she that could read minds and not Edward. She was starting to get anxious. No one ever came looking for Edward. People would come to visit Carlisle sometimes, and Jasper had had a visitor or two, but never had someone wanted to talk to Edward. It would have made Alice uneasy and nervous had Jasper not been standing right next to her, keeping her calm. Alice tended to be rash when she wasn't kept calm. "What's your business with him?" Alice asked, her tone even.

(ooc: I am going to talk in third person now because it is getting annoying being the only one talking in first!)
Shiloh watched her face, trying to read it as well as she could. Vampires tended to be hard to read seeing as they have been alive for a very long time and learned to hide things. The stern look was entertaining to see though. I wonder if I should back off...Nah! " Edward and I use to know each other....very well when we were humans. He was changed before I was so I think he would find it entertaining that I am alive and well."

Alice began to chew on the edge of her lip. It was a terrible habit from when she was human. She had kept it because it made her seem more human and less vampire. Jasper was still oddly fidgety. It made Alice wonder what was up. "Well, Edward should be here shortly. He's always so late in coming. You can just hang tight till he appears."

(ooc- *pops in* Kara's back, back, back! Back again, 'gain, 'gain! Kara's back, back, back! Tell a friend, friend, friend!)
Edward grimanced as the car hit 95 mph. Because he didn't know the sound of the vampires' thoughts, or know exactly where they were, he wasn't able to read their minds. Luckily, he could read Alice's.
The vampire in the parking lot had already approached her and Jasper. Apparently, this female was someone from his past, who was turned after he was. This confused him. Edward had never really been in any romantic relationships as a human, and all of his long dead friends were male. He had only seen this vampire from the back in Alice's vision, but she was definitely familiar. Edward would have to wait to see her face.
As he neared the school, he could begin to sense that the other vampires were close as well. Edward's already pale hands whitened on the steering wheel. It was almost as if they were waiting to ambush him. Again, he attempted to locate their thoughts, but was unsuccessful. He was still too far away.
A few minutes later, Edward slowed down and pulled into the school parking lot. He parked in his usual spot next to Alice and turned the ignition off. He could see his siblings and the other vampire standing a few yards away, and noticed three unfamiliar people watching him from across the lot. They were standing next to a couple of motorcycles, which automatically made him think of Jacob Black. But these were exactly the opppsite of Jacob. They were the other vampires. Edward, now that he could focus on their position, tried to read their minds. All he could hear, however, was a series of numbers and a language he didn't understand. D*mn!
Edward opened the door of his Volvo and stepped out. He tore his eyes away from the cyclist vamps and focused his attention on Alice, Jasper, and...
Edward froze when he saw the ever familiar face of the vampire in front of him. His throat tightened and he stopped breathing - as if he had to anyway.
"Shilo...?"

Alice watched Edward pull into the parking lot. Finally, she though, took him long enough. I'm sure he has a good reason for this. Jasper calmed her overly impatient disposition with a touch of his hand. Gee, it was hard to keep Alice calm. Some days he considered giving up altogether. Then Edward had that look that he got when he recognized people, and he said her name. There was this odd comprehension that neither Alice nor Jasper understood. Alice didn't like it. "Does someone want to tell me what's going on?" she asked irritably, strumming her fingers on her elbow. It was a nasty habit she had when she was annoyed or angry.

Shiloh smiled when Edward finally pulled up to his siblings. This was entertaining. " Hello Edward, miss me much? I do hope that I didn't come at a horrible time." She turned to Alice and smiled as sweetly as she possibly could. " Oh Miss Cullen, did your brother not tell you that he had a sister when he was a human...oh, I would not think did. He must have forgotten."
