Ginny giggled as Tiffany mentioned Merlin's underclothes. However, Ginny saw a slight shudder as Tiffany looked behind her. "It'll be okay," Ginny reassured her new friend. "When you've got a family like that, there's not much you can do to please them. I'm sure it won't be too bad. What's the worst thing they could do? Disown you?" Ginny gave Tiffany a consoling smile, hoping she would feel a little bit better at least.

Tiffany forced a smile. "Disowning me would be the best thing actually, it's keeping me around and trying to force me to be like them that's the worst." she sighed. "I'll get just a lecture later from the famous Malfoy heir, won't that be a blast..." She shoved a carrot into her mouth, chewing slowly. "He'll probably be mad at me for talking to you, he really hates your family." She looked Ginny up and down. "I really can't see why though, you're a whole lot nicer then his lot."

Ginny blushed a little at Tiffany's compliment. She knew it was true, of course, it was just odd hearing it from a Malfoy, as unorthodox as she was. "I'm sure it'll all end up alright," Ginny assured Tiffany. "Eventually they'll give up and the most you'll get is lectures when you screw up really badly. That's how it happened with Fred and George. Mum always used to try to get them to behave better and prank less. Eventually, she realized she was fighting a losing battle. Now, she only punishes them when they do something really bad, like blowing up a toilet seat." Ginny grinned consolingly, hoping Tiffany would feel better. She was a little uncomfortable around people who were upset.

Tiffany sighed. "Yes well your parents don't have a bunch of wussies who resemble the KKK at their beckoning call." She rolled her eyes. "I'll survive though, I've gotten this far so I've got something going for me." She smiled. "Don't worry about me, I'll be alright. After all, Draco's pathetic, he couldn't hurt me even if he wanted to." She laughed. "We have that twin bond, he couldn't hurt a hair on my head." She frowned for a moment though, "I'm almost scared for you though, I don't want him threatening you just cause I started talking to you..."

Ginny scowled a little bit at this. "Need I remind you that I have four brothers here, two of which are Fred and George. I don't think your dear brother would dare go anywhere near me and risk having something unpleasent in his bed." Ginny took a drink from her goblet, gulping an uneccissary amount of water. "Anyway, I'm not nearly as useless at magic as he would imagine me to be." Ginny gave Tiffany a sly smile and stroked the wand poking out of her pocket.

Tiffany grinned. "I hoped so. Plus, if it ever somehow came down to it, I'd back you up." She fingered her newly acquired wand in her pocket of her robes. "He would benefit from a lesson or two on how to behave in civilized company." Just as she said this, a small paper crane floated onto her lap. She frowned and picked it up, noticing Draco's personalized stationary parchment he'd received for his birthday last year. She unfolded it and raised one of her pale eyebrows at his scrawly handwriting. Meet me in the corridor. We need to talk.

Ginny read the message over Tiffany's shoulder. "Does he mean now?" she asked curiously. "Because that wouldn't be very inconspicuous. It would be a little obvious if you both got up in the middle of the feast." Ginny looked at her new friend, a little concerned.

Tiffany crumpled up the paper so Draco could see it and stuffed it into her pocked. She took a large bite of pumpkin pie and swallowed. "I'm not going anyway. If he wants to yell at me, he can wait till after I'm done eating." She laughed through her pie, holding her hand over her mouth to keep from making a mess. "Plus," she chuckled. "He needs to learn to be patient, I'm not gonna bend to his every will here, not like at home where I have to." She turned in Draco's direction and gave him a big, pumpkiny smile.

Ginny grinned at Tiffany, before mumbling, "I don't bend to any of my brothers' will and it annoys a few of them. One time, Fred tried to get me to test a prank he and George invented, and when I said no, he flipped. He couldn't got to mum, of course, of he'd have gotten in trouble. She doesn't like it when they try to make me test their pranks. Ron's quite terrible about that too, but he comes up with stupider tasks for me to complete." Ginny smirked down the table toward Ron who chose that moment to look up curiously at Ginny and Tiffany.

Tiffany smiled down at him too, saying softly to Ginny at the same time. "Yes, well yours doesn't have your parents bending to his every will also. Draco gets whatever he wants, spoiled brat he is." "Who's that nerdy git sitting next to your brother?" she asked, nodding in the direction of the dark haired, green eyed boy stuffing his face with food. "He doesn't seem to be breathing between bites."

Ginny blushed as Tiffany asked about Harry. "That's Harry Potter. He's Ron's best friend. On the other side of Harry is Hermione. She's a bit of a know-it-all. She's really nice, though. She comes and talks to me when her and Harry come and Harry and Ron are being particularly insufferable. She also stays in my room, since I'm the only girl." Ginny looked back down at her plate, picking at her food, and shoving a bite into her mouth, even though she wasn't hungery anymore.

Tiffany raised her eyebrow extra high and turned to look at Ginny. "THE Harry Potter? You're kidding." She glanced back at him and then back at Ginny. "HE is the one the KKK wanna-be's are so afraid of? Man, they really ARE wussies." She laughed. "They seem kinda like the three musketeers, even if one of them is a girl."

Ginny giggled a little at this. "I suppose they kinda are, except I doubt the three muskateers were that dysfunctional. Those three get into a fight just about every other day. They only ever became friends because my darling brother upset Hermione, then he and Harry saved her from a troll. Wouldn't even have happened if they hadn't been so mean to her to begin with."

Tiffany laughed. "A troll huh, maybe he's not so pathetic after all. Harry doesn't look like much does he? His uniform barely fits." She scanned Harry Potter up and down before shoving her plate away from herself. "Well, I'm stuffed." She announced to Ginny. "How about you?"

Ginny pushed her plate away from herself so it was level with Tiffany's. "Stuffed as a pigeon," Ginny answered. "The funny thing is how they killed the troll. Ron levitated its club with wingardium leviosa, then it fell and knocked out the poor giant. I doubt it was any really impressive magic. More like my darling brother was so shocked he'd gotten the spell right he let it go."
