Not paying any attain Monica ran down to where she was told the great hall was. Mumbling the whole time, "Bugger I'm late already." Turning her head she looked behind her no one in sight. Looking back in front of her she didn't have time to stop from hitting the two girls in front of her.
Falling onto her back Monica sighed, "ouch, I don't have insurance," She said sitting up, looked at the other two girls. "Um you guys okay?"

Out of nowhere someone ran into the two girls, throwing Tiffany off balance and causing her to land with a soft thump on her behind. She sat there for a moment, somewhat stunned at the high-paced events before. She looked over to where another girl was sitting on the floor, looking at Ginny and herself with a look of possible remorse. "Um, you guys okay?" The dark haired girl asked. Tiffany nodded slowly as she did a mental runthrough to make sure she wasn't damaged. Her bottom was somewhat sore but otherwise she felt alright. "I think I'll live," She patted some dust off her robes. "Nothing a good spell can't fix." She smiled at the other girl, regaining her composure. "Who might you be?"

Ginny was thrown randomly into the stone wall behind her when she was bumped into by a rather odd, black-haired girl. She held the wall to keep her up, noticing her hands were begining to trickle a small amount of blood. Odd. That usually didn't happen. "Are you okay?" the girl asked, and Tiffany said she was. Ginny didn't really like to ruin a perfectly polite conversation, so she simply produced her wand and tapped at the little scrapes. Turning to the girl she smiled widely. "Good as new," she said. "The name's Ginny. Ginny Weasley. What about you?"

Smiling She nodded to Ginny. "The names Monica," Pushing her bangs away from her face she looked past the girls. "Don't tell me I missed everything, I missed the train Some weird guy brought me here and I don't even know what house I'm in yet. " Out of nervous habit she ran her hands through her hair. "Sorry I never know when to shut up and just keep on going like now." She mumbled the last part while she stood up and brushed herself off.

Ginny chuckled slightly at the girl. "Well, you did miss the whole thing," she said hesitantly, "but, I can bring you to McGonagall's office so you can be sorted and that way you'll know your house." Ginny gave Monica a small smile, sensing how nervous she was. That was something Ginny could just do. She always seemed to know when someone was nervous or upset.

Tiffany picked herself off the floor, checking carefully to make sure she was ok. It wouldn't be good to start off her first year at Hogwarts injured. After a careful examination she concluded that she was fine. She smiled at Monica and Ginny. "If you two don't mind, can I tag along? I need to talk to McGonagall anywho and I don't know my way around quite yet..." She laughed slightly. "By this time tomorrow, a galleon says I'm stumbling into the kitchens while on my way to potions."

Smiling Monica nodded, "Hey at lest we have each other right now." She looked from girl to girl, Stopping and staring at the blond. "Your a Malfoy right you got the look? My mum and your mum are friends only I don't remember ever mentioning that the Malfoys had a daughter." She said in one breath. Lowering her head she squeezed her eyes shut. How embarrassing she knew for a fact the Malfoys didn't have a daughter she had been to their house once.

Tiffany sighed and nodded. "Yes, I've been cursed with that bloodline." She smirked at the comment about her...seemingly non-existent reputation. "Yes, I generally didn't make very many appearances when non-family members where about. They, uh...aren't too proud of me so far." She chuckled nervously. "They'd rather fawn over the precious Malfoy heir instead of their OTHER child." She shrugged and scuffed her foot on the carpet. "I don't mind really, I'd rather NOT have all the pressure and the hopes of a whole family line on my shoulders."

Ginny chuckled a little at Tiffany's comment. "I know how you feel. Not only am I the seventh child, but I'm the only girl! Not even a chance of my having to be the family heir. You may not get the privalege, but being the youngest, I can hit Ron, and he'll get in trouble. It's great. I love the freedom." Ginny smiled widely, enjoying her casual freedom.

Tiffany nodded. "Yes, I'm actually the oldest. By about...six minutes." She laughed. "Though he tends to see me as the younger one, but I don't care really." She sighed. "Though if I hit Draco, I would be the one in trouble, and he would exaggerate what happened. That's the curse of not being the heir to a huge family fortune." She glanced at Monica. "That's why I don't make many appearances, staying out of the way was the best way to stay out of trouble."

Monica smiled and said the first thing that popped into her head. "But trouble is kinda fun at times." Laughing she decided to tell them about her brother. "Well I unlike you to I'm now an only child. My Twin brother Anthony died last year right before school started, so I had to miss last year. But before Tony died we where always together, sure we had different friends but we were each others best friends." Pushing back the tears she smiled. "but past is past."

Ginny smiled encouragingly at Monica. "It's all right. We can be your new best friends." Ginny walked up the the sobbing girl and wrapped her in a hug, patting her back like her brothers used to do to her when she cried. It always made Ginny feel better, anyway. "Brothers are over-rated anyway," Ginny tried joking. "You just don't realize it because you didn't have six."

Tiffany resisted the urge to make a mean comment about her own brother, she knew it probably wasn't the time or the place to be demeaning towards Draco. She tried to smile reasuringly, she envied Ginny at that moment, she didn't have the skills to comfort people. Tiffany watched the two hug, she envied Monica too, no one had ever comforted her. She had scraped many a knee playing by herself, and when she cried, she was still alone. That loving mother never appeared out of the blue to patch it up and kiss it better, Tiffany always had to do that herself. The one time her father was around to see her cry, he had yelled at her to "suck it up" and "stop being a wimp, Malfoy's weren't wimps". "Don't worry about it," She attempted to speak words of wisdom like Ginny could. "I'm sure everything will be ok." She bit her lip, then thought of something. "In fact, I'm like you. I have a twin brother who's...more or less dead to me. And I'm a year behind also, but for different reasons."

Monica smiled at Ginny and nodded her head. She was a little glad she didn't have six brothers. Looking over at Tiffany she did something out of her normal habit. She grabbed the front of her robs and pulled her closer for a big group hug. "The three Musketeers, all wimpy when it comes to family." Laughing at how ridicules that sounded to her own ears . Catching her breath she continued "we can be each others family now. Who needs brothers?"

Ginny laughed merrily, a small tear of joy escaping. It had been a long time since she had had a reason to be so happy. With six brothers, you could get beat up for crying. Or else mocked incesently. Either way, she would never cry in front of any of her brothers. "We should get you to McGonagall to get sorted, Monica," Ginny said, pulling out of the hug and grabbing one of each girls hands.
